Most of our articles are written by Bob Gillespie who is on our staff. Bob has professional woodworking experience dating back to 1981. He was, for many years, President of Craftsman Woodworking, LTD in Honolulu, Hawaii. He continues to be involved in fine woodworking and furniture design and now wishes to share his experience in fine woodworking with other woodworkers. Bob keeps a constant eye on the latest developments in woodworking tools and shares his latest findings with you.

"How do I know which woodworking tools are best for me?"
While we, of course, cannot tell you what your needs are, let us suggest that you read the appropriate woodworking tool reviews on this site to get a better understanding of what is available in the woodcraft marketplace. While price is always an issue, so is suitability for the woodworking task at hand. Don't buy a production machine unless you are planning on doing production work. For the occasional woodworker perhaps a simple portable contractor's table saw may be enough. A serious, professional woodworker would probably aspire to own the best cabinet saw available. We'll review everything from tools for the woodcraft hobbyist to heavy woodworking machinery for industrial use. Out of this, you should know what's best for you and your situation.
"How do you choose your advertisers?"
We want advertisers who have a reputation for having most woodcraft items in stock, that offer a wide variety of woodworking tools and products, who ship promptly at fair prices, who have a reasonable and fair return policy and who carry the woodworking tools we review. Not all suppliers carry all tools so we have several suppliers. Some tools are carried by many different suppliers. There are also suppliers who may carry only high quality tools of a specific make or type. We want this kind of advertiser, as well. In other words, we want you to be able to quickly find what you want at a fair price. To this end, check out our "Who Sells What" page. Saving you time and money is an important part of our service to you.
"Are you open to suggestions?"
Not only are we open to suggestions, we openly ask for them. We offer woodworking advice so that you can become better and better at what you do. Like you, we want to be the best we can be. While we like pats on the back, we find constructive criticism to be even more valuable because good suggestions lead to positive change and that benefits all of us.
